In-Person Classes and Normal Operations to Resume on Campuses Tuesday
Pepperdine officials continue to monitor the weather conditions in Southern California that began Sunday and are expected to continue into the week. The forecast for the remainder of today and into tomorrow indicates less precipitation compared to the last 24 hours. Malibu Canyon Road, Kanan Road, and Pacific Coast Highway are currently open, and the commute to Southern California campuses on Monday morning was reasonable and free from major delays.
Based on this information and positive facilities reports from our campuses, University officials plan to resume in-person classes and normal operations at all Southern California campuses Tuesday. This includes a resumption of the Calabasas – Malibu shuttle on a modified schedule. For this week it will depart Calabasas at 7:20 AM and then leave the Malibu campus at 5:15 PM, with no service in between those hours.
If conditions change and normal operations cannot resume tomorrow, University officials will notify the community by approximately 6 AM tomorrow morning.
All employees and students are encouraged to drive slowly and carefully, leave plenty of extra time for travel, and remain informed about conditions for Pepperdine’s Southern California campuses by utilizing the following resources:
