Pepperdine Monitoring the Broad Fire

The Pepperdine EOC is monitoring a brush fire in Bluffs Park across PCH from the Malibu Campus. The fire is not currently threatening Pepperdine, but flames and smoke are visible. The wind is currently pushing the fire away from campus, which is currently at 5 acres and may threaten homes in the Malibu area soon. 

LA County Fire is using Alumni Park for air operations. Northbound traffic on PCH is stopped at Malibu Canyon and PCH. 

At this time, normal operations and classes continue on campus while the EOC monitors the situation.
