Officials Plan to Close Malibu Canyon Road Later Today

The County of Los Angeles has announced that Malibu Canyon Road will close at 5 PM today, Sunday, January 26, due to potential rockslides. County officials have also indicated Malibu Canyon Road will not reopen before 5 PM on Monday, January 27. 

As noted in Friday’s update, if Malibu Canyon Road is closed on Monday, the University will move to a remote learning model and critical support staffing. The University continues to monitor the situation and will update the community by 7 PM to confirm planning for classes and operations tomorrow.
