Kanan Dume Road Closed Due to Traffic Accident and Downed Power Lines

As a result of a two-vehicle traffic accident on Kanan Dume Road that caused downed power lines, Kanan Dume Road is currently closed from PCH to Tunnel #1, for at least the next few hours. Southern California Edison is responding. Drivers should should plan alternate routes when traveling in or around the Malibu area. Malibu Canyon and Pacific Coast Highway remain open at this time. 

Road conditions may change as crews continue their response and assessment. Greater Los Angeles road conditions can be viewed at www.sigalert.com. Updates specific to roads near the Malibu campus will be provided on the Road Conditions Hotline at 310.506.7623 (ROAD).

As always, the University continues to encourage community members to use caution, allow extra travel time, and remain alert to traffic and road condition updates.
