Malibu Canyon Closed Due to Another Rockslide

Malibu Canyon Road is closed again in both directions from Piuma to Seaver Drive due to another rockslide. The Malibu Campus remains open, classes are proceeding as scheduled, and normal business operations are expected to continue throughout the day. 

University officials encourage you to utilize alternative routes to Pepperdine’s Malibu Campus, as Malibu Canyon Road may continue to open and close throughout the day as conditions change.

Malibu Canyon Road has reopened following a closure earlier this morning. 

The Malibu Campus is open, classes are proceeding as scheduled, and normal business operations are expected to continue throughout the day. Please allow for extra time when traveling to campus.

Malibu Canyon Closed Due to Rockslide

Malibu Canyon Road is closed in both directions from Piuma to Seaver Drive due to a rockslide. Barricades have been set up at both ends of closure. University officials are trying to get more details regarding the timeline for when the canyon will be fully reopened. In the meantime, drivers should use alternate routes as the barricades may indicate a longer closure.
