Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Pepperdine University updated its response and planning to reflect the evolving circumstances and best practices, prioritizing the well-being of the University Community. This included adhering to the guidelines from public health authorities such as the Centers for Disease and Control (CDC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, among others.

As public health experts now treat COVID-19 similar to other influenza-like illnesses, the University has shifted its protocols accordingly to align with this approach. Members of the Pepperdine community should continue to stay home when feeling unwell. Whether it is COVID, the flu, or another illness, please rest until you have fully recovered. Specifically, if your symptoms include a fever, you should remain at home until you are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication. Additionally, any other symptoms should be mild and resolving, or completely resolved, regardless of the specific illness.
