Pepperdine Monitoring Road and Weather Conditions

The Malibu and Calabasas campuses remain open and classes are still being held as scheduled today, December 6, 2018. The area is expected to receive some additional rainfall this afternoon and possibly into the evening as the storm moves throughout the region.

Please note the following road closures in the area:

  • Pacific Coast Highway is closed in both directions from Trancas Canyon Road to Las Posas Road.
  • Encinal Canyon Road is closed in both directions.
  • Decker Canyon Road is closed in both directions.

Kanan Dume Road has now reopened following a brief closure this morning. During this rain event, Pacific Coast Highway from the south is likely to be the least impacted route to campus.

Community members should anticipate changing road conditions and exercise caution while driving, especially if using canyon roads, including Malibu Canyon and Kanan Dume.
