Final Update: Pepperdine Monitoring Wildfire Activity

Posted on Updated on

Pepperdine officials are continuing to monitor fire activity in the region this afternoon. The latest reports indicate that the Easy Fire has burned 1,723 acres with 10% containment. All evacuation orders for the fire have been lifted, but residents are advised to use caution as first responders are still working in the area.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard remains open to residents only. All other roads to the Malibu campus are open and clear of any significant delays.

A Red Flag Warning remains in effect through the afternoon until 6 PM this evening. This will be the final EOC message related to this Red Flag Warning and fire activity unless conditions significantly change.

Please be advised of the following:

  • Community members whose homes are affected by the fire or road closures should follow the directions of their local governmental agencies.
