Inclement Weather Update

University officials continue to monitor the current rainstorm. Heavier rains which were initially predicted for this evening are now expected between 10 PM and 1 AM tonight. All roads to the Malibu campus remain open at this time and are clear of significant delays. Drivers are encouraged to make personal safety their first priority, using caution and good judgment when considering travel along the roads leading to the Malibu campus as fog, rocks, mud, and debris may be encountered. 

Please see the below updates regarding University events this weekend: 

  • The Calabasas campus will be closed tomorrow, February 25, 2023. However, Calabasas campus employees will have normal access to the building, their suite, and their individual office to use as needed.
  • While Payson Library will be closed tomorrow, the Drescher Library will be open.
  • Athletic events scheduled for tomorrow on the Malibu campus, including men’s and women’s basketball as well as women’s beach volleyball, are currently set to continue as scheduled. Please visit the Athletics website for the most up-to-date information.
  • The final performance of the spring opera, H.M.S. Pinafore, is currently planned to be held as scheduled tomorrow evening in Smothers Theatre.
  • Dining Services will remain in operation, and food service will be available on the Malibu campus. For updated hours and locations, please visit the Pepperdine Dining Services website.
