Malibu Campus Open – November 30, 2018
The Malibu campus is open today, November 30, 2018.
Major access routes to campus are open, including Malibu Canyon Road and Kanan Dume Road, but drivers are urged to use good judgment when considering whether to travel along these canyon roads due to the possibility of falling rocks and debris flow. At this time the least vulnerable route to campus is Pacific Coast Highway from the south. The University will continue to monitor road conditions, and any critical changes will be shared on the Road Conditions Hotline at 310.506.ROAD. Community members are advised to regularly check the hotline before traveling to campus, especially during inclement weather conditions.
Pepperdine Monitoring Road and Weather Conditions
University officials will evaluate weather and road conditions tomorrow morning and will determine whether to close the Malibu campus by 6 AM. All students, faculty, and staff should assume the campus will be open and normal business operations will be in place unless a closure notification is made. If the Malibu campus is closed, a notification will be sent via Everbridge, the University’s emergency alert system.
