Borderline Bar and Grill Shooting – Update #3

The University is heartbroken as we continue to monitor developments following last night’s tragic events at Borderline Bar and Grill. The Emergency Operations Committee (EOC) convened shortly after the incident and gathered on campus to coordinate the University’s response.   

We continue to pray for the victims and their families, and all of us at Pepperdine are committed to assisting our community through this tragedy in every way possible. At this time, Stauffer Chapel will be open and staffed throughout day for those in need of community and pastoral care.  

Pepperdine University plans to continue with the routine of our normal class schedule to provide structure and community for our students. We acknowledge that there is nothing routine about today and encourage students to use their discretion about attending class and prioritizing their health and well-being.

The University is grateful for the first responders who risked their lives for the safety of our community and will continue to work with local law enforcement throughout the day. For the latest updates, please visit the University’s Emergency Information Page.
